12 minutes west of Viroqua, WI
35 minutes south of La Crosse, WI
2 hours west of Madison, WI
3 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
3 hours from Milwaukee, WI
4 hours from Chicago, IL

Quality Deer Management

We have our QDM on our properties at a minimum and main focus of 4.5 year old maturity and 130 inches.

If you harvest a buck that doesn't meet our QDM, you will be charged an additional $1,000.

This is to help provide more mature bucks when you come back to visit us again year after year.

Helpful Information

We provide all stands and hunting blinds.

No ATVs or UTVs needed. All stands are within a short walk from the house or the dead end road. We will provide the UTV for recovering your buck.

When you take a shot, please notify us immediately and we will guide you on the proper time to track and recover based on the shot and conditions. We do not want to push a wounded deer. We will also inform you on where the deer should be field dressed.

There are also facilities for you to cut up, wrap and storage for your harvested animal or we can help you coordinate drop-off at a local deer processor and taxidermist.

Justin, Darci, her father Al O’Brien and now their son Weston have over 85 years combined experience in hunting Southwest WI Driftless Whitetail Deer.

We live here on our farm and watch deer all year round. We know what they eat, where and how they move and we share that with you to give you the greatest chance of success.

Although no hunt is ever a guarantee we go above and beyond all year to make sure your hunting experience here is one you will always remember.

Where you’ll stay.

This is not your average hunting cabin nor a bunkhouse or lodge — it’s a private retreat built for hunters who want to rest well, recover fully, and enjoy time with their group. All stands on home property can be walked to from house or from our dead-end road.
